Up there with propper shade, rain, and healthy varietals, great terroir is super important for growing great coffees. This coffee is a blend of two coffees grown in the volcanic soil on two different volcanoes in Central America.

The Mexican washed is from Finca Muxbal. This farm is located close to the second highest mountain in central America, Volcan Tocana. This stratovolcano is the first in a line of volcanoes known as the Central American Volcanic Arc ranging from Mexico to Panama.

The Guatemalan Natural is from Finca El Jardin. Pablo and Eva's farm is near Volcan Pacaya. This active volcano is also in the same Volcanic Arc. Scott, Vanessa and I (Noah), were able to hike partway up this volcano last year with Pablo and Eva.
